The raised tabs grip a greater surface area and guard against dislodging due to relaxation of vinyl from heat or blowout during times of high pressure and wind. Constructed of hardened steel stampings and rugged investment cast alloy steel jaws with rust-resistant nickel plate and black oxide finishes to ensure long service life.
